Critical to the success of any log home restoration project is the proper preparation of the logs prior to product application. The amount of preparation varies with the degree of deferred maintenance on the home. Under good care the logs may only require an eco-friendly cleaner and pressure washing. Under less care they may require cob or media blasting to remove the finish down to the wood. In extreme conditions there may be log replacement needed which in most cases only requires that we replace the outer half of the log with a cedar or treated log. All repairs of this type are warranted for as long as you own the home.
